Antique Bourne Denby Stoneware Advertising Bottle | Caley Ginger Beer Dorset | About 1900
Antique stoneware advertising ginger beer bottle made by Bourne Denby for Caley, who were based in Dorset.
It's salt-glazed, with a nice rich treacle brown colour and a transfer stamped crown with a very Victorian-looking stylised brand name, which sets it apart from many bottles of the period with a simple, or no, decoraiton.
It's ideal for showcasing a single stem, or for display as part of a collection.
Condition: Very good. No cracks or chips, but some nibbles of glaze loss on the rim from age-related wear.
Dimensions: H 16.5cm W 7cm
