A good gift for a theatre lover, antique lover - or perhaps someone who hates camping? He looks a little like a man who has had a really bad night camping. That's the magic of Staffordshire figures, they have a wonderful wonky whimsy to them.
Staffordshire figures make great additions to ground a room and introduce the 'something old' that builds a layered feel over time. With their colourful palette, they also look wonderful placed with a vase of flowers.
This one has nice, bright colours - including the bright red orange that is typical of Staffordshires, teamed with deep cobalt blue underglaze, which dates this figure to before 1865, when they stopped using it.
Condition: Good. Minimal paint loss and good, soft gold gilding. There are also no chips, bits missing, or bits glued back on, but a firing fault from when it was made has split along the base and this can be seen clearly when it is picked up - but not really when it is standing.

Because we are a small UK business and not currently part of the IOSS scheme, VAT and duties are NOT included at checkout. Your local delivery provider may request: VAT at your country’s standard rate and a small customs handling/administration fee. These charges must be paid by the recipient for the parcel to be delivered.
Returns
We accept returns up to 21 days from the day your order is delivered.
We reserve the right to refuse any return on merchandise that does not meet our return requirements. We are unable to offer an exchange or refund on items that are deemed damaged upon return - scratched, worn or not in their original packaging. The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping cost. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
