Lightweight and deceptively sturdy, this trug is a practical and beautiful addition to any garden. Perfect for gathering and displaying produce, it also lends atmosphere to your potting shed, garden room or greenhouse. Made to be used, it will gain patina over time, developing a deeper golden tone.

Thomas Smith's Trug Shop - now a not-for-profit near the beautiful Cuckmere Haven - were the original makers of the Royal Sussex Trug in 1829 and continue to keep the traditional manufacturing techniques alive for the next generation. There are thousands of cheaper copies out there, but few genuine articles.
What size trug to choose? Size 6 is suitable for bulkier crops, such as potatoes, apples, or for a large bunch of flowers.

We are happy to announce we now ship to Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium and Luxembourg for a flat rate of £43.
Your order should arrive 5–12 working days after dispatch (varies by country and customs processing times) We’ll email tracking details as soon as your parcel has been shipped.
Because we are a small UK business and not currently part of the IOSS scheme, VAT and duties are NOT included at checkout. Your local delivery provider may request: VAT at your country’s standard rate and a small customs handling/administration fee. These charges must be paid by the recipient for the parcel to be delivered.
Returns
We accept returns up to 21 days from the day your order is delivered.
We reserve the right to refuse any return on merchandise that does not meet our return requirements. We are unable to offer an exchange or refund on items that are deemed damaged upon return - scratched, worn or not in their original packaging. The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping cost. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
We do not offer returns on vintage items (unless damage occurs in transit) due to the fact that all the pieces are entirely unique and will show wear consistent with age.
