Drip Glaze Crock | East German DDR | Vase or Storage
Darkly attractive vintage salt-glazed food storage crock from East Germany. Likely used for preserving, it's a beautiful chestnut brown with a dripped treacle brown glaze that has a slight shiny lustre over the top.
Useful and beautiful for storing utensils, tools, brushes, or whatever takes your fancy.
It also makes a great vase, and would set simple, frothy flowers like cow parsley or asters off beautifully.
Impressed DDR underneath, it's likely made just after the second world war in East Germany.
Condition: Excellent, no chips, scratches or nibbles.
Dimensions: H 16cm x W14.5cm
