Handmade Cross Stitch Drawstring Bag | Ideal Christmas Stocking
An entirely handmade cross stitch drawstring bag, with beautiful stitch work and front and back, and even handmade plaited drawstrings and tassels. It must have taken many hours of careful work.
Probably mid-century, there is an old boarding school name tape label in it for Joan E. Ellis. Whether that was the maker, or it was gifted is unknown, but it's a nice personal connection.
A lovely piece for anyone that loves vintage textiles and handwork. It would also make a brilliant Christmas stocking.
Condition: Very good. It has been carefully hand-washed with Woolite and drip dried, and there is some age-related yellowing remaining, but this is only visible in daylight and close inspection.

Because we are a small UK business and not currently part of the IOSS scheme, VAT and duties are NOT included at checkout. Your local delivery provider may request: VAT at your country’s standard rate and a small customs handling/administration fee. Returns
We accept returns up to 21 days from the day your order is delivered.
We reserve the right to refuse any return on merchandise that does not meet our return requirements. We are unable to offer an exchange or refund on items that are deemed damaged upon return - scratched, worn or not in their original packaging. The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping cost. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
