Large Stoneware Storage Jar | Doulton Lambeth | Around 1880
Large, heavy storage jar or crock stamped from around 1880. A great base for Christmas branch tree, or useful year-round as a kitchen storage crock for utensils, or other general storage around the house.
This one is particularly heavy for it's size, and has good details including a beaded band on the body, speckles on the body from the firing process, and a deep chestnut glaze.
The marks on the bottom are where it was placed on a tripod for firing.
The indistinct oval impressed stamp where only Lambeth is legible in the stamp is for Doulton & Co between 1853 and 1900.
Condition: Very good for it's age. It has a hairline crack on the outside, which doesn't go all the way through.

Returns
We accept returns up to 21 days from the day your order is delivered.
We reserve the right to refuse any return on merchandise that does not meet our return requirements. We are unable to offer an exchange or refund on items that are deemed damaged upon return - scratched, worn or not in their original packaging. The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping cost. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
