Primitive Siamese Cat Silhouette | Hand Painted Folk Art
Sweetly hand painted vintage Siamese cat silhouette. Its most striking features are the vibrant, green and turquoise eyes that instantly catch the light. There is a hanging hook on the back, or the flat bottom edge allows it to sit perfectly atop a mantel, shelf, or window sill.
This primitive-style piece is painted on a wooden board and finished with varnish.
Condition: Very good. On close inspection there are a few small flakes of paint missing at the edges. Most visible at the tips of the ears (pictured), but also small flakes at the bottom and sides. Overall, still a very pretty piece of mid-century folk art.
