Set of Two Pinecone Christmas Ornaments | Santa and Snowmen | Japan | 1950s
Set of two pinecone Christmas decorations from the 1950s featuring Santa and Snowman, by the looks of it on a big night out. The snowman is smoking a stoogie and Santa is waving a Christmas tree.
These jolly, whimsical figures were popular in the 1950s, but in spite of being harder to break than mercury glass baubles, are now quite rare to find.
Made from a pinecone, spun cotton and pipe cleaners. The snowman's hat is plastic.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. These have been used and loved, so the base card is discoloured, and there is a small chip in the lacquer on the snowman's nose, but Santa's hat is clean and bright, and they are complete and unbroken, which is unusual. If they were placed in an arrangement with pine cones and moss, the base boards could be hidden for display.

Because we are a small UK business and not currently part of the IOSS scheme, VAT and duties are NOT included at checkout. Your local delivery provider may request: VAT at your country’s standard rate and a small customs handling/administration fee. Returns
We accept returns up to 21 days from the day your order is delivered.
We reserve the right to refuse any return on merchandise that does not meet our return requirements. We are unable to offer an exchange or refund on items that are deemed damaged upon return - scratched, worn or not in their original packaging. The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping cost. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
