Vintage Trent Pottery Jug | Folk Art Inspired | 1930s
Gorgeous and bright art deco-era jug by Trent Pottery featuring pops of mood-lifting poppy red, dating from the 1930s. A perfect vase for a jumble of garden flowers that make you smile as you pass.
Inspired by Czech peasant art, its graphic daisy motifs give seriously Mary Quant vibes, and the full-on colour reminds me of the work of Josef Frank. This would fit in anywhere from an arty cottage to a sophisticated mid-century monochrome apartment.
Condition: Very good. No chips, a couple of very small scratches to paint on close inspection visible in main image, one at 10 o' clock from centre of flower, and one tiny one at 4 o' clock.
Dimensions: H 16cm x W 20cm x 16cm
